Frequently Asked Questions

General

What processes do you use to customize apparel, accessories, etc.?

We don’t just customize—we elevate. At Embedded Designz, we use a mix of high-quality techniques tailored to each product’s vibe:

  • Embroidery – For that textured, classic, and durable finish that screams luxury.
  • Sublimation – Perfect for vibrant, full-color designs on drinkware, home goods, and select apparel.
  • DTG (Direct-to-Garment) Printing – Ideal for soft, breathable prints with rich detail on t-shirts and hoodies.
  • Laser Engraving – Clean, precise, and permanent. Great for tumblers, cutting boards, flasks, and other giftable gear.

Every piece is handled with care, precision, and a whole lotta pride. Because personalization isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.

What is direct-to-garment (DTG) printing?

DTG printing is a versatile and high-resolution method used to print full-color designs directly onto fabric. It's ideal for complex, detailed designs and vibrant colors.

How it works: A specialized printer applies ink directly to the fabric's surface. The ink is absorbed by the pre-treated cotton fibers and cured with heat and pressure resulting in a soft, durable, and long-lasting print.

Best for: Intricate graphics, full-color graphics, and detailed artwork on light and dark-colored cotton fabrics.

To ensure the absolute best results, we only use premium brand apparel and OEM ink for this process.

What is sublimation printing?

Sublimation is a process where designs are printed onto special paper using a sublimation printer and ink and transferred onto a garment or accessory using heat and pressure. It's known for its vivid, permanent, and durable prints.

How it works: The ink turns into a gas when heated and permanently bonds with the fabric's polyester fibers or special-coated stainless steel or glass, becoming part of the material.

Best for: Vivid and full color prints on white or light-colored polyester garments, sportswear, and countless sublimation-ready items like tumblers, mugs, mousepads, and much more.

To ensure the most spectacular results, we only use premium brand blanks and OEM ink for this process.

What is embroidery?

Embroidery involves stitching a design onto fabric using thread, adding a tactile and dimensional quality to the customization.

How it works: Digital designs are converted into a format that embroidery machines can understand. These machines use needles and threads to sew the design onto the fabric.

Best for: Logos, monograms, text, and designs requiring a premium, textured finish.

To achieve the sharpest, longest lasting results, we only use premium brand thread, material, and apparel for this process.

What is laser engraving?

Laser engraving is a precision-based process that uses a focused beam of light to permanently etch designs, text, or logos onto the surface of a material. It creates a crisp, clean mark without using ink or tools that physically touch the item.

How it works: A high-powered laser follows your custom design, vaporizing the top layer of the material—like wood, metal, glass, or coated stainless steel—with exacting detail. The result? A permanent, fade-proof design that looks sharp and sophisticated.

Best for: Custom drinkware, cutting boards, flasks, wine boxes, home décor, and keepsake items where durability and elegance matter.

To ensure a flawless finish, we only use industry-grade laser systems and hand-inspect every piece. Because when your name’s on it, it should look and feel like a big deal.

Processing & Shipping

How long will it take to process my order?

Every single Embedded Designz customer order is processed for you by us! All items are made in-house, by hand, and after you order it. We do not contract out our work to other companies, use a Print on Demand service, or outsource work to third party companies.

On average, our processing time ranges from 5 to 8 days to ensure each order receives the attention and quality it deserves.

Your satisfaction is our #1 priority, and this timeframe allows us to deliver exceptional, personalized creations just the way you envisioned them.

What if I made a mistake on my custom text or design?

Hey, it happens. If your order hasn’t gone into production yet, we can absolutely update it. Once it’s been personalized, though, we can’t accept returns—but we’ll do everything we can to help make it right.

Can I see a preview of my design before it’s made?

You bet. For embroidery, engraving, and sublimation items, we offer digital mockups upon request before production starts. Just say the word!
