Refund policy

The Short Version
We make everything to order. That means once production starts, your item was made for you — and that changes how returns work. Here's the quick version:
- Custom / personalized items: No returns or exchanges — unless the error was ours.
- Non-custom items: 14-day return window from delivery date.
- Our mistake? We'll remake it or refund it, full stop. No runaround.
- Your mistake? We'll do our best to help, but we can't absorb the cost.
Custom & Personalized Items
All custom and personalized products — including embroidery, DTG printing, sublimation, laser engraving, and any item with a name, logo, date, or design applied — are made to order and are final sale.
These items cannot be returned or exchanged because they have no resale value once personalized. This is standard practice across the custom decoration industry.
However, we stand behind every item we produce. If we made a production error — wrong text, wrong placement, wrong color as specified, or a defect in workmanship — we will remake or refund the item at no cost to you.
To report a production error:
- Contact us at info@embedded-designz.com within 5 business days of delivery
- Include your order number and clear photos of the issue
- We'll respond within 1–2 business days with a resolution
Important: Customer-submitted design files, approved proofs, and self-selected sizes are the customer's responsibility. We cannot issue remakes or refunds for errors resulting from low-resolution artwork, incorrect specifications submitted by the customer, or sizing selections made without consultation. If you're unsure about sizing, reach out before you order — we're here to help.
Non-Custom Items
For non-custom, non-personalized items (blank or pre-designed products with no customization applied), you have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange.
To be eligible, the item must be:
- Unworn and unwashed
- In original condition with tags attached
- In its original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Clearance items and gift cards are final sale and cannot be returned.
To start a return:
- Email info@embedded-designz.com with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for return authorization — do not ship items back without approval
- Ship the item back at your expense within 14 days of authorization
- Once received and inspected, we'll process your refund within 48 business hours
Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item was defective or incorrectly sent.
Exchanges
The fastest way to exchange a non-custom item is to return the original and place a new order once the return is approved. We don't hold inventory for exchanges, so placing a new order ensures you get your size or style before it sells out.
Defective or Incorrect Items
Whether your order is custom or non-custom, if you receive something defective, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately at info@embedded-designz.com with photos and your order number. We'll cover return shipping (if needed) and make it right — remake, exchange, or full refund depending on the situation.
Group & Corporate Orders
Bulk orders, group orders, and corporate/B2B orders are subject to terms agreed upon at the time of quote. Custom quotes include specific production, approval, and cancellation terms. Contact us at info@embedded-designz.com for details.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 48 business hours of return receipt and inspection. Depending on your bank or payment provider, the credit may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, contact us at info@embedded-designz.com and we'll investigate.
Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) orders (Klarna, Afterpay, Affirm): Refunds are issued to the original payment method. The BNPL provider will adjust your payment plan accordingly. Contact us first before initiating any dispute through your BNPL provider — we can almost always resolve issues faster directly.
Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled before production begins for a full refund. Once we've started your item, we cannot accept cancellations. For custom orders, production typically begins within 1–3 business days of order confirmation. If you need to cancel, contact us immediately at info@embedded-designz.com with your order number.
